Design

I was first introduced to Adobe InDesign during my sophomore year, when our Editors-in-Chief required staff writers to format articles using a preset template. Because the program was unfamiliar and unintuitive at the time, it initially discouraged me from exploring layout work further. However, when I became editor-in-chief in my junior year, I chose to confront that challenge directly. Using online tutorials and design guides, I taught myself InDesign and developed the skills necessary to create our newspaper’s cover (inspired by an old-school newspaper) and a layout of my own article on the phone policy.
